Ms Chauntel & Ms Terreka's Class - Toddler 2

Hello, Families!

I hope that you all are doing great! In May, we talked about bugs and insects and the different habitats they live in. We went on a bug hunt outside during outdoor exploration time, and the kids really enjoyed getting down on the ground and following the ants to see where they were going. We also made handprint spiders and worm paintings using yarn. In our sensory table, we made our own “red dirt” that the children were able to play in with fake bugs. This was their favorite part. Also in May, we took a week to make all kinds of projects to celebrate the Ivy Academy Moms for Mother's Day. (Shout out to every Mom and female role model for everything you do!).

This month, we are going to be talking about water and exploring water. Toddler 3 is going to be doing a beach week, an ocean week, a pond week, and of course, we are going to be taking some time to celebrate our wonderful Dads! (Shout out to you Dads and male role models for everything you do as well!).

Also, we are going to continue working with the children to use their words or sign language to express their wants and needs. Language development is so important, especially at an early age. We want to ensure that we, as teachers, are doing everything we can to help the children foster their language development by using words or sign language to help communicate.

Thank you so much for continuing to trust us with your babies daily. As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to email me at cfortney@Delawarechild.org.

Thanks,

Ms. Chauntel & Ms. Terreka
