EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Sherry Rackliff is the Executive Director of Delaware Child Development/ Washington County Child Care Foundation. She is a certified teacher for grades K-12 with an emphasis on math and high school science and has been working with children and families in education since 1974. Sherry serves as the Chair of the Oklahoma Tribal Child Care Association and the Secretary of the National Indian Child Care Association. She is a Fellow with Children's Defense Fund Leadership Network and works closely with child advocacy groups in Washington, D.C., such as the National Women's Law Center, the Children’s Defense Fund, the Center for Law and Social Policy, and National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies. Sherry has attended the Harvard School of Design for Child Care Centers and has presented at many national, regional, and state level conferences on Tribal/State collaboration, budgeting, grant writing, programming, and curriculum. Sherry is a very strong proponent of agencies working together to provide the best possible learning environments for young children and is avid about educating the communities on the importance of early childhood experiences using scientific data from the latest neuroscience research.
