Ms Bailee & Ms Brittney's Class - Todder 1

Hello, Parents!

I want to start by thanking you all for such awesome conferences! It is always great seeing and talking to you in these crazy times. With us not having everyday conversations at drop off and pick up like normal, conferences give us an opportunity to do just that.

During February, we will be working on some different forms of creative art goals. Art is a time for the children to express themselves in different ways; from collages, to painting, to cutting and more, the children love to use new art tools. Some children choose to talk while they explore, and some are more in-depth and focused with their time. We will start by using everyday simple items. As the month continues, we will expand to more difficult art exploration activities.

One way that we love to encourage the children is by asking specific questions to bring out the intent behind their work, using phrases such as “What color do you want to start with?” or “Do you feel like painting or drawing today?”. These give the children options during experiences that ignites their excitement when the child has finished their masterpiece.

The link below is a fun art project that would be great for you to do at home with the children. We hope you enjoy!

Ms. Bailee, Ms. Brittney, & Ms. Lydia
