Ms Amanda's Class—Toddler 1

Season’s Greetings from T1!

November went by so fast! We had a lot of fun reading our thanksgiving books; our favorite one was probably the book “My First Thanksgiving.” It is a very simple book with simple pictures for the children to understand, and it prompted a lot of questions of “What’s that?” We also have had a lot of fun painting with pumpkins, gourds, and feathers! It’s been messy, and the kids love it!

For the upcoming month, we are going to be talking about Christmas! How exciting! We will have a new sensory bin that’s filled with flour to simulate snow and lots of other fun Christmas items! For art this month, we are going to be doing some observational paintings of Christmas items such as a Christmas tree, lights, and ornaments. We also have lots of Christmas books that I am going to put out around the classroom to help get us in the Christmas spirit. We have also ordered a special Christmas book from Santa for each child in our classroom, and I can’t wait to deliver them. It’s going to be a fun-filled month full of exciting activities!

Please enjoy the holidays, and I will see you next month!

Ms. Amanda
