Ms Amanda's Class—Toddler 1
Greetings from T1!
Over the month of September we learned about wild animals! We had many books in our classroom that showed all the different types of animals on our planet and where they lived. We also enjoyed singing our animal action song which helped us pretend to be different animals and insects; we made lots of fun noises!
For the month of October, we are of course going to be celebrating Fall and Halloween! I have lots of fun Halloween books picked out for our classroom such as a Halloween sensory book, books about pumpkins, and books about dressing up! Speaking of pumpkins, I will have miniature pumpkins, fall leaves, and colored rice in our sensory table this month to go with our theme. It is really important that children get to explore different size, shape, and textured items in the sensory table as this leads them to ask questions about the world around them. I will also be ordering more pumpkins so we can paint them in class! We also will be adding a new song into our circle time called “Spooky Walk.” It is very similar to “Going on a Bear Hunt”, and it gets the children up and moving around in a fun way. I think it will be a spooky fun time!
Ms. Amanda
