Family Child Care Home 2 - Owasso

Learning about animals is a fun way to get children involved in learning. We spent a couple of weeks learning about farm animals, and we learned what sounds they make and what they look like. We are currently learning about zoo animals. This topic will be longer than usual because there is so much to learn about! The children absolutely love the song “What do you see?” and “Wild Animals” by Dream English Kids, which can be found on YouTube. We have a little book that we created that shows the animals as the song goes along.

The children’s favorite art activity that we have done is Brown Bear. We cut out a bear head, took turns on who would be the bear, and we went on a bear hunt!! It’s unbelievably amazing how much children can learn though music and play!
