An Adventure Awaits You!

Spring is upon us, and the outdoors is a great place to teach children about science. During this time of year, the grass is changing color, flowers are growing, and allergies are strong! This is a perfect time to talk with your children about how these things change and grow through explorative play. Children can develop their understanding of these concepts through hands-on learning. Take them on an adventure in the wild of your backyard to see the grass change color or the flowers bloom. Let them crawl and touch the brown and green grass to feel the different textures. Let them smell the flowers or plant their own seeds and watch them grow over time.

Many children miss out on the rich and varied opportunities for science learning afforded by being out in the great outdoors. Explorative play at this age is foundational for their learning!

Don’t forget, “Your Adventure Awaits You!”
