Letter from the Director!

Dear parents of DCDC- Bartlesville,

This month I came across an interesting experiment that I thought would be a fun and free family activity! The activity is Shadow Drawing. What you do is place several of your child’s favorite items in the sunlight on a large sheet of white paper and trace the shadow of the object using a marker. It really helps them recognize the physics. By observing the different shapes created by the sunlight at different times of the day, children may even become more creative. All you will need for this family friendly project is the sun, toys (example: plastic little people or farm animals), and paper.
