Ms Nicole’s Class—Preschool

Can you believe it is already December? The children in the preschool class have had a busy month of November, and we show no signs of slowing down! We have learned to make pies, butter, what it means to be grateful, and the importance of our family and friends. Our class was so excited that we got the chance to play in our season’s first snow, even though it was so cold. We hope to see more this winter season so we can do a little more exploring and see what we can create with snow.

As a class we have been investigating pets. We have learned that some pets have tails, some have feathers, and some are soft, and we even discussed what pets like to eat! We will be furthering our investigation on pets until the end of this year. The class loves to move like all different pets and to pretend to be the caregiver to their “pet friends.” They are building such strong bonds and friendships with one another as they grow and learn together. It’s absolutely pleasing to watch. We started taking turns feeding and cleaning our class pet and his tank. We have also agreed that it is better if Rainbow stays in the classroom and doesn’t travel until spring since it is so cold and he lives in water.

Christmas is right around the corner, and our class Christmas party is on Friday, December 21st, at 2:00 pm. Our class will be building gingerbread houses, enjoying a healthy snack, and then end the party with a meet and greet with Santa. So please stop by and join in all the fun to create lasting memories with us. We would love to have you!
