Hello, Preschool 1 Families!

A new year has started! We are all ready for new beginnings and brand-new memories to make. Our sensory table has already been filled with fun Valentine’s items. Lots of fun things to scoop, fill, and sort. The end of January has been cold, and I’m sure February will follow suit. With spending more time indoors, we will be playing more games, art, and dance/exercises to get our wiggles out. We have new games that build math skills and promote patience and taking turns. We are also continuing our work on learning the days of the week and identifying the differences between the weekdays and weekends. Parents can also help your child with this at home by talking about what day it is today.

We will be having a Valentine’s Day party on Friday, February 12. I will be posting a sign-up sheet the first week of February, if anyone wants to sign up. For our party, I would love to encourage our families to help your child create a personalized Valentine’s Day box. It can resemble what your child loves to do or a favorite toy or show they might like.
