Ms Krisinda's Class - Early Preschool 1

Hello, EPS 1 Families!

School readiness goals are an important part of our everyday activities here at Ivy Academy. Letter and number recognition are a big part of our daily lives in EPS 1. We are finding fun ways to integrate them into our lesson plans so that learning them does not feel like work!

In November we will be working on the Early Learning Guideline for Social and Personal Skills. Our focus will be Standard 1 – The child will participate in activities to develop the skills necessary for working and interacting with others. In our class, progress with this standard looks like: recognizing the feelings of others and responding appropriately, developing confidence and standing up for their own rights, showing respect for others and their property, recognizing and expressing their feelings and responding appropriately, and working independently and/or cooperatively to solve problems or resolve conflicts. Modeling these skills is our best teaching tool inside and outside of school to help build these skills.

As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, feel free to share them with me!

Ms. Krisinda and Mr. Matt
