Ms Hannah's Class - Preschool

Hello, Preschool Families!

I’m Miss Hannah, the new Preschool teacher, and I’m so excited to finally have my class open! The first day was Monday, and we had a blast!

This upcoming month we will be focusing on Language Arts, Early Learning Guideline Standards 6 – “letter and word recognition” as well as Standard 3 – “print awareness, understanding the written language”. We’re building a strong foundation regarding the alphabet so that we can slowly transition into writing and reading fluently. The goal is to get them school ready. We will be working on fine and gross motor skills, writing skills, recognizing letters and words, and emergent reading skills.

During this festive time, we will be doing several activities to incorporate the seasons. Unfortunately, this year we will not be having our parents join us for our seasonal parties due to covid-19. But be assured that we will do all that we can to make the holidays fun for the children!

During this month, I will be sending home several resources so that our alphabet can be practiced at home, too. I will also be sending a few activities to do as a family!

I’m thrilled to be a part of your child’s learning, and I’m confident that we will all grow together!
