Hey, Ivy Academy Families!

We have been waiting for the sunshine for months, and now it is finally here! At Ivy Academy, this time of year means lots of water and sunscreen. The month of May was all about mud boots and umbrellas. The teachers and kids are so excited to bring out all the sprinklers and water toys! Please bring some extra clothes for your littles, including swimsuits, outside shoes, etc.

In the month of June, we will be focusing on many different insects. We will further explore how insects move around, their environments outside, and where to find them - mainly looking into more of the ELG side of Science Standard 3: The child will observe and investigate living things. (No bugs will be harmed in the process of exploring!). We will practice holding small nets and trying to pick up small bugs using fine motor skills!
