Ms Gabi & Ms Rebecca's Class - Infants 1

Hey, Families!

April showers bring May flowers! Spring has officially sprung at Ivy Academy Owasso/Sperry. We are so excited for the little ones to watch the flowers bloom and our grass turn green. During the month of March, we learned about Healthy Bodies, and we practiced good hygiene habits like hand washing and brushing teeth. The children had a blast learning how to wash away all the germs, and they enjoyed the toothpaste. We also got creative with our hands and made our very own St. Patrick’s Day rainbows and worked our fine motor skills with paintbrushes.

In the month of April, we will be having a refresher with “Family Style Dining.” The children will be learning how to serve themselves and using their fine motor skills with utensils. A lot of people may wonder about the benefits of serving meals this way. “Family Style Dining” encourages learning and development not only at the table but also away from mealtime as well. Children learn independence, social skills, and other important habits that will last them a lifetime. If you have questions about “Family Style Dining,” ask Rebecca or me at drop off or pick up, and we’d be happy to discuss the benefits with you.

Thanks!

Ms. Gabi, Ms. Rebecca, & Ms. Katie
