Ms Deb's Class - Infants

Hello, everyone!

My name is Debra Steffen, and I am excited to be the Infant Master Teacher here at Ivy Academy West. I ran a 2 Star Family Child Care Home for about 14 years and have worked for this organization for two years. I would like to encourage you all to reach out to me anytime; I feel good communication with families is essential to supporting development in your precious babies.

In June we spent time exploring our indoor and outdoor environment. We talked a lot about being kind to our friends and using soft touches. We practiced soft touches using dolls. In July we will be talking about animals and the sounds they make. We also plan to work on our gross motor skills such as crawling, walking, and kicking a ball.

Summertime brings many opportunities for outdoor adventures, and in Oklahoma it also means plenty of outdoor heat. I would like to remind everyone to please send summer clothing to school. Thank you to those that have already sent some. I will email when their clothing or diaper supplies get low.
