Ms Chauntel & Ms Terreka's Class - Toddler 2
Hey, Ivy Academy Families!
In April we talked about Spring weather, what type of clothing to wear, and what we need if it is raining. We also talked about flowers and how they grow in the Spring. The class learned that flowers need lots of water and sunlight to grow. We had a shape and color egg hunt where the kids got to hunt for different eggs using buckets. All the children had so much fun!
We also celebrated Week of the Young Child from April 12th through April 16th, where the Center had a different activity every day. The activities were centered around the children which continued to help foster their creativity and imagination.
In May we are going to explore and talk about insects, spiders, and their different habitats. We are going to be doing a variety of art activities such as worm paintings, bug collage, tissue paper spiders, etc. To further learning, the class will be talking about the different places that insects live and the foods they eat. Then they will learn about the differences in their characteristics such as their shape, color, size, etc. I cannot wait, and I’m sure the children enjoy it!
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me at cfortney@delawarechild.org.
