Ms Bailee & Ms Brittney's Class - Todder 1

Parents, guess what!?

I think things should be getting back too normal soon, which I am sure you are thankful for. 😊 We had a crazy December, a solid month in January, and then came February to mess up all that routine. Hopefully, the rest of 2021 will not bring any more surprises.

I want to reflect on our awesome Dough Day that the entire organization took part in. The teachers worked together to create and organize some fantastic activities for this day. Some of the activities included an Ice Cream Shop, Bakery, Monster Mash, Construction digging zone, and more. For the Ice Cream Shop, the children were given ice cream scoops, cones, and sprinkles! The children were shown how to scoop the “ice cream,” place it on the cone, and then add sprinkles.

I think the Bakery and the Monster Mash had to be their favorites! The bakery gave the children options to scoop the dough into cupcake liners, measuring cups, cupcake pans, and more. The Monster Mash gave the children a chance to be creative and practice their fine motor skills. They were asked to make a shape in the dough and place googly eyes and buttons onto the dough to form a monster! We also apologize for any past colorful bowel movements from this Dough Day, but just know, our dough is made by Chef Roger to have the safest option we can for the children!

As for what is coming in March, since it is Dr. Seuss's birthday, we must celebrate! We will be doing 2 weeks' worth of Dr. Seuss fun. The last two weeks of March will bring learning about Spring. With Spring comes bugs, flowers, rain, and lots of other fun things to learn about. The children can make beautiful artwork with spring colors, and hopefully we will start seeing more bugs and animals along with the better weather. We cannot wait to show you the activities we'll create with your children, and we hope you love them as much as we do!
