Ms Amanda's Class - Toddler 2

Parents,

March was so busy, but of course, so much fun! We very much enjoyed reading our Dr. Seuss books. Our favorites are definitely There’s a Wocket in my Pocket, Green Eggs and Ham, and Hop on Pop. We also have been talking a lot about our colors, shapes, and the letters in our first names. Another thing we have enjoyed this month is counting. We love counting! We also have the opportunity to mix paint colors and have discovered that mixing colors makes new colors! How exciting! We also really enjoyed playing with colored rice in our sensory table. We really enjoy burying our cookie cutters under it and then trying to find them. Also, we have enjoyed transferring rice from one cup to another. So much fun!

As always, we continue to work on using our words and identifying emotions. Several of them are really starting to understand when someone is upset and are beginning to show empathy for each other. We will continue to work on this every day.

In April we will talk about bugs and weather. We will read books about both and make sure that if we see bugs on the playground, we will stop and look at them and talk about them. We will look at the different plants that are growing around us and watch how our playground is changing. We will also continue to talk about colors, shapes, and letters, and to work on our emotions.

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to care for your sweet babies.

Ms. Amanda T.
