Ms Amanda & Ms Riley's Class - Toddler 2

Hello, September!

My, how time flies! August has been filled with colors and shapes. We had so much fun pointing out how everything we saw was a different color or shape. The class really enjoyed our book called Rainbow Rainbow Colors Bright as it had a rhyming feel to the words, and the pictures were different styles of rainbows that other children had published. The kids also had a fun time looking at our sensory picture cards that featured colors and shapes. They wanted to play with them every day at circle time. We colored and painted with different colors every week, and sometimes it got messy, but that was part of the fun!

During September, I want our focus to be “All about Me!” This time will include talking about our bodies and how we are all different, yet we are all the same. In our class, we encourage body positivity and celebrate that our bodies are different and that they can do incredible things. We will be reading books that encourage these points of views such as We’re Different We’re the Same and We’re all Wonderful by Sesame Street and a book called A First Book All About You, Eyes, Nose, Fingers, and Toes by Judy Hindley. We are also going to paint with our body parts and even try to do a self-portrait this month. I think our class is really going to enjoy the activities we have planned.

Have a wonderful September!

Ms. Amanda, Ms. Riley, and Mrs. Nena
