Ms Amanda & Ms Riley's Class - Toddler 2

Hello, Summer!

We are ready for water play this summer! We have already busted out the water hose and sprinkler several times this month, and our children have the best time cooling off. Please keep an eye out on Kid Reports as I try to send pictures of different activities we are engaged in, and we don’t want you to miss it!

Last month our topic was Zoo animals, and we had a blast with all our zoo toys and books. We read one book that the children really loved called Tails, and it showcased all the different tails of animals, and the tails all had different patterns and textures to them, so it was a sensory exploration as well! We also did several observational paintings of different animals, but I think our favorite was the crocodile - they loved looking at its teeth and how it can swim underwater.

This upcoming month we are going to be talking about different types of Transportation! Our children love to look out the window and watch the cars and trucks; and when we are outside, we always have an eye out for airplanes. We will be reading different books that will showcase all different kinds of vehicles from tractors to planes. We will also be doing some more observational paintings of different vehicles and even painting with toy cars! We are looking forward to exploring this new topic with the children and are excited to explore the world together.
