Celebrate Grandparents Day!!

Sunday, September 10th, is Grandparents Day, and you can celebrate it by having your children or the children in your care do something to honor their grandparents! Suggest something they can do with them or make for them. If the children don't have grandparents, tell them how they could "adopt a grandparent", maybe a neighbor or friend whose grandchildren aren't living close or maybe don't have any grandchildren at all. Scholars for Excellence in Child Care Coordinator - NOC Stillwater

NOC Stillwater is seeking a Coordinator for its grant-sponsored program, Scholars for Excellence in Child Care. The coordinator will be responsible for overseeing grant requirements, developing and managing budget, and providing academic and student service support for all scholarship recipients. Applications will be taken until the position is filled. Applicants should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a focus in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; and five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Accreditation Scholarships for Family Child Care Homes and Centers

There are two programs available for scholarships for Family Child Care Homes and Centers: National Association for Family Child Care Scholarships from the National Association for Family Child Care will reimburse up to $500 of application fees paid by an Oklahoma family childcare home provider for accreditation or $250 for re-accreditation by the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC). The recipient must be a Family Child Care Home provider currently licensed in the state of Oklahoma. Delaware Child Development Resource and Referral can provide technical assistance to child care providers. Technical Assistance services help providers improve or enhance the quality of child care through structured and intentional services which supports the development of specific skills and practices. As a result, providers will be able to implement knowledge about quality in their individual care giving situations.
