I enjoy spending time with my family and church family.  In my spare time, I also like to read, go horseback riding, fishing, camping, and work in the garden.  My husband and I are the proud parents of three wonderful boys.

About Resource and Referral

Family Support
Resource & Referral has the privilege of serving and working with families, child care providers and communities in many ways.  We work with parents and families by providing child care referrals and guidelines to help families choose quality child care.  As parents and grandparents, we understand that choosing a child care provider can be a very stressful ordeal.  Our goal with each parent is to help alleviate as many concerns as possible by giving them the resources they need to select the right child care setting.

Provider Services
On the provider side, we have the honor of working with child care providers by offering monthly trainings, technical assistance, and professional development programs.  Part of our duties include increasing the supply of quality care by recruiting new family child care homes and helping with start-up, expansion and quality improvement of new school-age programs and child care centers.  We serve as a resource to providers by offering information to child care decision makers to help them assess need and allocate resources.

Community Involvement & Advocacy
In regard to the communities, we advocate for quality child care at state and national levels on pertinent child care related issues. We strongly believe that every child should have access to child care in a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment and our objective is to assist providers, parents, and communities to make this a reality. Resource and Referral is actively involved in various community events and groups throughout the nine county service areas.

I am the Resource and Referral Specialist for Washington, Nowata, Noble and Logan Counties.

I have been employed with Delaware Child Development since 2002 and have worn many hats from being a classroom teacher to Site Director.  I have been in the field of early childhood for over 17 years.

I am excited about going out into the community and providing support and encouragement to providers. My desire is to help make a difference in the families’ they serve by providing extensive training and onsite technical assistance. Via training and technical assistance visits, I will offer direction regarding environments and practices that will, in turn, promote positive learning outcomes for young children.

I am the Resource & Referral Specialist at the Ponca City office. I provide specialized assistance for child care providers in Kay, Lincoln, and Payne Counties. I have my Associate in Arts in Child Development and teaching has always been a dream of mine to better the lives of children and families everywhere.

In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my two fantastic children, James and Autumn Jolynn. We love to read, exercise, practice and learn new ASL, and enjoy theme days together.

I am very passionate about child care and the roles of families and providers alike. After all, families and providers are working towards a common goal and that is to help the child grow into an exceptional individual one day. My passion is to help increase the chances of providing a bright future for our children by working with families and child care providers directly. I firmly believe that children are the leaders of tomorrow and deserve the opportunity to have access to high quality care in a safe and healthy learning environment.
